Start Your Morning Off Right

Start off on the right foot with a latte from Bighorn Café. This eclectic coffee shop is located on Radium Hot Springs main street. With the tastes and smells of fresh, onsite baking the café cultivates a home-like ambience that welcomes any and all guests – residents and guests alike. Come enjoy a delicious cup of 49th Parallel espresso, a light snack or quick lunch.

Enjoy an Outdoor Adventure

Looking at a map of the Columbia Valley, you can’t help but notice the expansive network of trails that spider across the vast terrain. For many locals exploring valley bottoms, over mountain passes and across alpine meadows is more than just a pastime.

Yet, a remarkable sight that is often overlooked is the changing colour of the fall larch. This is when these deciduous conifers turn yellow for a couple of weeks before shedding its needles. Take a guided-hike with Playwest Mountain Experiences to Brewer Lake in the Purcells. The Brewer Lake hike has a little bit of everything – old-growth Douglas Firs and large, meadows filled with wildflowers and several sun-alpine lakes.

Spend some time paddling through the Columbia River Wetlands while learning about David Thompson and the local history with a guided interpretive tour with Columbia River Paddle. Whether you’re an individual, family or small group of friends you can enjoy a hassle-free afternoon discovering facts about the river and wetlands, local birds, fish, reptiles, and animals.
